(My Speech @ Toastmasters for Youth Leaders.. Its actually like my dream came true when I got this opportunity to speak to the youth)
This is one of the most cherishing moments of my life that I am addressing to youth. I have thought about this moment hundred times in my imagination. To share something that I wished I knew years before.
Dear Toastmasters, Youth leaders & distinguished guests, follow the conscious not the crowd.
Now what exactly conscious is, Conscious is your inner voice. The voice that comes from the real YOU inside. It’s the voice that has the power to determine what you will be in your future. In my teenage, the conscious was just a theory for me. The hard fact about me & many others is that we only know about ourselves what other people tell us. If someone tells us we are good at Maths & bad at English, we believe them & start loving maths & fall behind in English. If someone tells us we are not good speaker, we believe them & ruin our luck with our hands. We seldom bother to listen to the inner soul resting inside us. My friend who recently got in to a government job, for him to flow with the dirty flow of corruption seems to be the formula of life. Probably he is too occupied by the voices around him & he is not listening to his conscious that is screaming inside him.
What exactly I want to share with you is all about success. That is achieved by following your conscious. I have studied few of the greatest people of the world & I have discovered that the people who become successful fall into two age groups, 1- Become successful in their life at age 40 or above, 2nd who become successful before the age of 25. & I really want you to join the 2nd league.
Well the underlying factor of success for both of the groups is one, and that is Follow your Conscious, Not the Crowd. The people who became successful before the age of 25, they realized earlier the voice of their consciousness at their TEENAGE.
Let me give you an example of a person who is currently the world’s youngest richest billionaire. Yes he is self made world’s richest young billionaire who was always scolded & criticized for his routin.. His teachers & his parents complained for his wastage of time on Internet. Yet he knew what he wanted to do, and he was doing what he loved to do. He is the person who developed a website which is now the 2nd most visited website on World Wide Web.
Any Guesses whose the person is? Facebook owner, Mark Zuckerberg.
Dear youth leaders, discover yourself. Understand the reality that you are unique,. there is no one in this world who has ever existed like you.. The way you think, the way you laugh, the way you talk is different, even the inner voice in each of you is different intensity & of different approach. I can c 30 ppl sitting infront of me, someone conscious is whispering to bring change in someone’s life. & the inner voice of other is saying to become a world’s famous photographer.
No no no don’t get me wrong… Do ask for the guidelines, do ask for the suggestions, do ask for the pros & cons of the things you are going to do, but never let others to write the script of your life.
Remember this, twenty years from now, you will be disappointed by the things you didn’t do, than the things you did. So explore, Dream & discover.
Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that keep the great people going was that they loved what they did. You've got to find what you love. work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.
That’s what world’s scholar says, that’s what Islam says & that’s what the thing I wish I had learn early in my life….. That is …. Follow your conscious, not the crowd.

Me, Myself & My Dreams
(I wrote this blog on June 1, 2010)

This is my attitude towards life. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way. Im enjoying every process in life, even the grief and challenges”
Myself
Usman Gulzari, my name..an urdu speaking individual residing in Islamabad. LiKe all of you I also took birth 23 years before….”smile*.. Sensitive, optimistic & Passionate are the three words that describe me...I'm half married..eehh i mean Nikkahfied, *smile* subjects that i like and very much defines me are Marketing, psychology & management. Some people are lucky enough to be surrounded by many nice people in their life and I am that lucky.Knowledge & Wisdom….although I don’t have these two endowment… Yet these are two things that attracts me more than anything…Motivation Factor & Faith for me is in these words..You can do everything you want to do..you only have to do the best you can ….and Rest Lie’s in God’s Hands.
My Life
Few Important Events of My LifeWhen I was 2 and a half year old… I fell from Terrace straight down to the cemented floor, from almost 15 feet height. When my mother saw me falling down, she thought it was the last time she would see me!! But I escaped even a single scratch….some say it was a miracle…For me Its an evidence of Allah that how much He loves me.As a child, I was neither extraordinarily genius nor a dumb head.....in family, chess champion was my identity..i would beat seasoned players easily...Chess is said to be a mind game...i was told that "You have to learn the rules of the game and then you have to play better than anyone else !"At age of 15, when I took exams of metric….I gave my first selling debut and had sold about 50,000 rupees membership accounts to almost 15 different people… …My mother tells me that when I was about 6,7 years old I would tell my family that I would buy Petrol Pump for 1 crore rupees and would sell it in 2 crores….In metric, that aspiration to become a businessman became stronger & even having secured good marks in Metric, I took admission in Punjab College of Commerce for I.Com to learn the basics of the business.After that I chose to get into BBA, and I completed my BBA with majors in Marketing from IIU last year with 3.6CGPA.Luckily enough last year in January I got offer in Samsung Field Marketing Project And on 26th January this year after jumping two major positions, I was promoted to the position of Regional Manager. With the grace of God, I am the only example in my office who was promoted from the tactical level job to the strategic level job within a period of 1 year.
MY DREAM
Its harder to live without dreams….The dream to become a businessman I saw in metric….got the words & direction in 6th semester of my BBA… that is to become a Successful Marketing Consultant before age 30.Today after two years ….having a respected job in my hands & when there are hardly 6 months left to my marriage….I have taken the biggest decision of my life..That is quitting the job and pursuing career as a marketing consultant. Because I feel that I am not going to get a chance to experiment my life ever again this way.I just dun want to regret after 10 years...Wondering what could have happened if I had chosen to be at my own? Life is for once, go and grab your chance...& I still believe that Allah loves me so much and He has in store something very special for me J.wish me luck ladies & gentle men..! this was me , my life and my dreams !
